HELPS PREVENT STONES: Specialized adult dog food helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: Low calorie dog food (11% less than Royal Canin Urinary SO Dry Dog Food) for ideal weight maintenance

BLADDER HEALTH: RSS methodology for dog bladder health helps lower the risk of crystal formation

S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to help support urinary health

When your dog has urinary issues, easing their discomfort requires special care. But with the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope—there can be a true difference.

This veterinary-exclusive dry dog food was developed to nutritionally support your adult dog’s urinary tract and bladder health. It increases the amount of urine your dog produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Moderate calorie content (11% less than Royal Canin Urinary SO dry dog food) helps them maintain a healthy weight. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some dogs. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your dog on this urinary dog food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about the right Royal Canin wet dog food and treats to complement your dog’s diet.

My pug Chloe needs to use this food for bladder stones. I switched to moderate calorie because she has gained weight as pugs often do. She has not noticed any difference and it is the same price as regular Urinary SO.

Saved My Dogs Lives!!

I am the "mother" to two spayed female half-sister Pugs. About seven years ago I noticed that one my pugs was having a very difficult time urinating. I took her to her veterinarian to find out what was going on. The vet did a thorough exam and lab tests. The results indicated that my dog was suffering from alkiline bladder stones that were blocking her urethra and made urinating very difficult. These stones could eventually block her ability to urinate and lead to a painful death. The vet flushed her bladder to remove some of the smaller stones and prescribed some medication to breakdown the existing ones. I asked about prevention from future stone development. The vet recommended that I feed her the Royal Canin Canine Urinary SO Moderate Calorie Veterinary Diet. It was also recommended that her half sister eat the same food to prevent stones in her bladder as well. My girls have been on this food exclusively for the last seven years and we have had no more issues with urinary stones in either dog. They both love the dry and canned formulas of this food. As pugs are prone to weight issues I am pleased that the moderate calorie version helps maintain their weight and health. Something else to note is that pugs can be very gassy, enough to clear a room! I noticed that when switched to the Royal Canin Canine Urinary SO Moderate Calorie Veterinary Diet their gas production reduced significantly to the point where it almost disappeared.

Been buying this food for our aging shepherd for several years. She had urinary crystals and would continually get tract infections. Great Product…..worth every penny.

Really works!

My dog had bladder surgery to remove 3 large stones. She started eating this food immediately after the surgery and has been healthy ever since. That was about 1 year ago. I did have to go with the moderate calorie because she gained a few pounds on the regular formula. She has enjoyed the taste, but then again she is a corgi and she likes most food.

My dog loves this food!

Sadly my dachshund became paralyzed a year ago. She therefore is prone to getting UTI's and we had to monitor her weight as well since she isn't able to move about like before. The Vet switched her to this dog food and not only is she maintaining a perfect weight, but she really enjoys her food.
