HELPS DISSOLVE STONES: Innovative urinary tract cat food helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones

BLADDER HEALTH: Lowers the risk of crystal formation using RSS methodology for cat bladder health

S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to support urinary health

HELPS PREVENT STONE REOCCURANCE: Specialized diet, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps prevent struvite stones from reoccurring

When your cat has urinary issues, easing their discomfort requires special care. But with the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope—there can be a true difference.

This veterinary-exclusive dry cat food was developed to nutritionally support your adult cat’s urinary tract and bladder health. It increases the amount of urine your cat produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. And this specialized nutrition, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps dissolve pure struvite stones and prevent struvite stones from forming. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some cats. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your cat on this urinary cat food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about the right Royal Canin wet cat food and treats to complement your cat’s diet.

New formula makes cats vomit!

My cats were doing great on the old formula for the last 6 years and this new gold-label formula is terrible. They are vomiting and I thought there was a recall on it, so I called. There are hundreds of similar complaints about the new formula, so I don't know why they changed it. The new stuff is horrible and I immediately stopped feeding it once I realized the problem is the food. I like the Royal Canin brand (and the kitten food is still good), but I'm very disappointed they changed this S/O food that had been successful. DO NOT FEED THIS NEW VERSION TO YOUR CATS!

Cat is vomiting! DO NOT BUY THIS

I properly transitioned my cat to this food per my vet's instructions, she can't even keep it down more than a few hours. Woke up this morning to vomit literally all over the house. I emailed Royal Canin and they gave some BS answer about nutrition. I mean just look at all these reviews. This is very bad!! Took her off of it for a few days to try the other canned food (cuts in gravy) and boom, no more vomiting...gave her a few (literally probably 10) pieces of this hard food and she throws everything up. Something is wrong and RC NEEDS to figure it out. Urinary diets are so hard to come by, especially for cats and this has made it a lot harder.

Was great - Now it's terrible!

My 2 cats have been eating this food for 2+ years will no issues at all. In fact - we loved this food and it immediately helped my cat with urinary issues. However....I was doing some research to figure out why my cat suddenly started vomiting everyday soon after I bought a new bag of this food. We suspected it was the food and now I'm confirming it after seeing everyone else in the reviews saying the same thing. Please Royal Canin go back to the old formula!! I'm not going to buy expensive cat food just to have her throw it up, will be switching to another urinary food unless they decide to change it back to the old formula.

Same as Everyone Else- Cat is Constantly Vomiting

My cat LOVED this food, now he doesn't eat much of it and has gone quite skinny, coupled with the constant projectile vomiting. I am *somewhat* glad to hear the experience form others, because I was so concerned it was something else entirely. Switching off this food immediately until I hear that the formulation has changed back.

Vomiting

My male cats have been on this food which is great for preventing urinary issues, but more recently, they are vomiting almost daily. I hope a change is made to revert back to the “old formula” which they did not have a problem with. It seems that I am not the only one who is seeing this trend.

DO NOT FEED YOUR CAT

Cats are carnivores, there's no need to add grain and fillers without negatively affecting their health. New formula has made my cat sick and consistently barf. Horrible company that's clueless about quality ingredients and cat nutrition.

Terrible-removed egg, added WHEAT??

Cat started vomiting after formula change causing vet bills and loss of $$. Called RC, rep said egg was removed and wheat added. She said it improved nutritional profile of food. Maybe on paper and in a lab. Why put more grain products in a food for an obligate carnivore?? Felines have developed over thousands +++ of years as meat eaters, they did not evolve to graze in fields of grain. Clinical nutrition board eligible DC with years of nutrition education and practice. I sure hope they change back formula to stop likely global upset of cat and cat owner health and welfare.

Cats vomiting constantly

I seem to be echoing the sentiments of others who are unhappy with the formula change (that we weren’t notified about). Our cats have been puking almost every single day for months - we have 4 so it’s not always everyone every day but is alarming - we have had construction going on at our house so we thought it might be stress but after reading other reviews it’s clear there is an issue with the food.
