HELPS DISSOLVE STONES: Innovative urinary tract cat food helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones

BLADDER HEALTH: Lowers the risk of crystal formation using RSS methodology for cat bladder health

S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to support urinary health

HELPS PREVENT STONE REOCCURANCE: Specialized diet, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps prevent struvite stones from reoccurring

When your cat has urinary issues, easing their discomfort requires special care. But with the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope—there can be a true difference.

This veterinary-exclusive dry cat food was developed to nutritionally support your adult cat’s urinary tract and bladder health. It increases the amount of urine your cat produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. And this specialized nutrition, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps dissolve pure struvite stones and prevent struvite stones from forming. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some cats. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your cat on this urinary cat food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about the right Royal Canin wet cat food and treats to complement your cat’s diet.

My cat won't touch it since it has changed

My cat has been eating this food for a couple years now. Never had any problems. Just got a new bag and she won't touch it. Have to change brands now. Apparently the food has been changed.

The new formula sucks and my cat won't eat it

I bought the 17 lb bag per usual, noticed the different logo colors, but didn't think much about it. My cat won't touch her food all of a sudden and I'm starting to get really worried because she looks like she's losing weight. It's clear from the other reviews that this is a new formula that's making some cats sick. WHY WOULD YOU MAKE A CHANGE LIKE THIS WITHOUT WARNING ROYAL CANIN?????????

All of our cats are getting sick! Do something!

My cat has been on Royan Canin Urinary S/O for about 9 years or so. Recently I was told by the veterinarian that the BAG was going to change it's branding but the food would stay exactly the same. Since he was getting a bit chubby we decided to put him on the Moderate Calorie diet which he was on for maybe a year or so. The bag I received right after the "packaging change" is what almost killed my cat. He lost so much weight and was throwing up constantly after eating. I went to the Vet and we changed his food back to the regular Urinary S/O and everything was fine again. He was eating again like normal and was super happy. Now, since he started getting close to the bottom of THIS bag, he's sick again. Throwing up multiple times per day. After reading these reviews, there's NO question that something is wrong with the food. AND, I'll be willing to bet whatever is sloughing off of the food and gathering at the bottom of the bag is the culprit. ROYAL CANIN: Say something now. Do something about this now. Put out a recall. Give refunds. Pay vet bills. Otherwise it'll turn into a class action lawsuit. You know there's something wrong with this food.

Bad result

I had the same problem with my cat, vomiting after eating the new brand, used the first version 8 years. Changed brand totally and my cat is OK now. I would like to know what has changed in the product to cause this?

Awful change in formula!!!

We've used RC Urinary SO for nearly 10 years with extraordinary response from our cats :) However, this new formula (which the vet was NOT told about - just a "marketing" change with the new bag) is AWFUL. After nearly every feeding, vomiting everywhere. You are losing loyal customers. I did call the customer service number and spoke to a nice gentleman, but he offered no condolences for the time and money that was spent in narrowing down the root of the problem. At nearly $75 for a bag, it would have been nice to have been offered some kind of acknowledgement for the money lost. I see quite a few others are not happy with the change either ---- I wonder if any of them have been given any kind of refund? I'm also concerned about any long term damage done with the constant vomiting. WHY CHANGE SOMETHING THAT WAS WORKING SO WELL?????

Used SO for 7 years

Both my male Barnyard Maine Coons love for 7 years and stop eat it, will not touch it now! Exchanged the 1/4 used bag with the Vet, where I purchased, TWICE, they WILL NOT eat this food AT ALL! I have to wonder if the ingredients have been changed, but I am stuck with a $70 bag of non-edible right now!!! Before I noticed the guys weren't eating the S/O maybe 3 weeks went by, because I have an auto feeder, one of them lost A LOT of weight fast! I WILL BE DEATHLY AFRAID to feed them this food EVER AGAIN, I would proably be killing them of hunger!

Cat is now vomiting

I've fed my cats the dry urinary s/o for about 9 years with great results. However, they are now vomiting shortly after they eat. This only started after the bag changed from green to gold. Did the recipe change as well? Please let me know!
