Miracle Food

I purchased this product a few weeks ago upon the recommendation of my vet. My cat has suffered from urinary and bladder issues for years. She pees blood, has crystals and chews her belly and paws raw due to suspected bladder pain. She is a entirely new cat since starting her on this food! She no longer chews her belly or paws and is growing hair on her belly for the first time in years. She's calm, happy and using the litter pan on a normal basis without blood in her urine. The vet said that she has no more bladder inflammation either. This food has been a miracle cure for my kitty. Please never stop making it!

Cat will not eat it.

I purchased this food since its fish flavored for my cat who needs urinary/calm food. He will not eat it at all. I have tried for about 2 weeks to get him to eat it and simply will not touch it.

We are very sorry for your experience. Please return the food to the place of purchase for a full refund.

So far so good.

I brought up my cats anxiety to her vet, and we ended up deciding on this food because she’s already suspected of having struvite crystals (her biological brother was officially diagnosed) but her anxiety was awful. She was also put on fluoxetine as well, and the combination has done wonders. The only problem was that she wasn’t eating it alone, so I had to take a couple of tablespoons away from each of the cats regular food and mix their kibble with canned food. Worked wonders, because now she eats all of it without having to try and coax her. I’m just happy she’ll let me groom her again, she has long fur and it’s all built up.

Allergic

My vet prescribed this about a month ago and after a week my cat started scratching himself bloody. No other changes or new items in diet or environment. Not sure which specific ingredient is the allergen, but disappointing.

Great urinary food

I have been using this food for a few months now for my male who had crystalluria on a UA. He loves the food and I do think the calming aspect helped when I introduced 2 new kittens into the house!

Very disappointed

My cats have been on Royal Canin ‘Calm’ for about 7 years and it has been amazing! I was a bit nervous to hear that weren’t making it anymore and had changed the formula to ‘Urinary SO + Calm’ but we bought a big bag and gave it a try. It has been a few weeks and the behaviour of both my cats has changed dramatically, one only coming out from under the bed to eat and use the washroom, the issue we had before we found ‘Calm.’ Our issue is not environmental and over the years we had friend many different things to calm her but only had success with the original brand of this food. Not sure where to go from here, very sad to say the least.

Cats love this food

My cats love this food and are always wanting more. I don't know that the calming ingredients are enough for my cat, but they do seem to help a bit. I still use a diffuser in addition to the food, to help keep my boy less stressed. I would prefer a grain free formula, however I have not found any urinary formulations that do not contain grains. Prior to my cat's urinary issues, I had been feeding what I felt was a better quality food for about half of the price. Overall, my cats like the food and I have peace of mind that he is less likely to have urinary issues while eating this food.
