We used this food for 2 years and my dog started with diarrhea again. It looks different and I should have known not to give it to him due to obvious changes. I thought I could TRUST the changes made due to it being a prescribed dog food. I trusted your product. Instead you spend money changing product packaging and changing a formula that was helpful for my dog that depends on its quality ingredients due to health needs. It's imperative that the blend doesn't change due to his pancreatitis triggers.

Change in kibble size and formula

My large breed German Shepherd has been on this product for approximately 2 years. He was doing beautifully with the Gastrointestinal low fat dry food until this last 17 lb bag. On the first morning he went from one bowel movement to 3 and ended up going 3 more times that day. Day two same thing in the morning only 2 after that. Day 3 morning 3 bowel movements and the last was a lot less firm with red tinges. Also, they have changed the kibble size. Sorry for the detailed description but wanted to let others know.

Did the trick!! Thank you!

My 7 year old Golden, Hannibal, had a totally unexpected bout of pancreatitis about a month ago. Scared me to death! Fortunately, after a trip to the emergency hospital, he's been good ever since. Thanks mostly to Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat Dry (and canned) dog food! Tried putting him back on his old food, but he got sick again. So now we're staunch supporters of this food! May be more expensive, but if it keeps my baby well, this is the one!

Heed the warning - The New formula is BAD

My French bulldog has been eating Royal Canin veterinary diet gastrointestinal food since he was 9 weeks old. We never had any problems with his diet until the formula was changed. After eating the new food for the first time, we saw his stomach was bloated. He also had the worst diarrhea I have ever seen him have. (we had to give him a bath to get his fur clean). I wish I had taken listened to other people's reviews and not subjected my baby to this awful "food"!! I thought that a handful of reviews should not affect my decision, but I was horribly wrong. At least I knew that other people have experienced the same issues... if I was not aware this could happen (from reading new reviews), I would have rushed him to the emergency vet! I trusted Royal Canin to make sure my baby had the best food, but I will never make that mistake again. I am done with this brand!!

New formula isn't good

My dog has been on this for almost a year and then all the sudden they change the formula. This prescription dog food? The formula before was very helpful for my dogs sensitive stomach. And then they don't even let us know they change it? Now my dogs stool is basically water. Thanks.

New Formula is Unhealthy

Whatever they changed in the formula is really bad. My dog has pancreatitis and was prescribed this food about 3 years ago. She has not had any issues until late August 2020 when I bought the new food. Now the diarrhea and vomiting are back. I cut out this food for another prescription brand and everything cleared up. Thanks for causing my dog such discomfort!

Furious that the product changed!!

Our dog has been on this product for 4 years and it has been wonderful until they changed the packaging a few months ago. They also changed the product. Why would you change such an awesome product? Our dog is back to having intestinal issues again. I have been through three 22 lb bags and still having problems. Please bring back the old formula!
