HELPS DISSOLVE STONES: Innovative urinary tract dog food helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones

BLADDER HEALTH: Lowers the risk of crystal formation using RSS methodology for dog bladder health

S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to support urinary health

SPECIALIZED KIBBLE: Adapted kibble size for small dogs encourages chewing to help reduce tartar buildup

When your small dog has big urinary issues, easing their discomfort requires special care. But with the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope—there can be a true difference.

This veterinary-exclusive dry dog food was developed to nutritionally support your small dog’s urinary tract and bladder health. It increases the amount of urine your dog produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Low Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. And for dental health, the adapted kibble size for small dogs encourages chewing to help reduce tartar buildup. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some dogs. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your dog on this urinary dog food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about the right Royal Canin treats to complement your dog’s diet.

Lucky Dog

Dylan, our eight year old shih tzu, has been eating S/O for small dogs for years ever since he was diagnosed with bladder stones. Lucky for him he loves this food. In the past he would only eat a dog food for at most six months before we would need to change his food.

Urinary S/O Small Dog dry food 8.8 lb. bag

I have a small Havanese that had developed urinary stones and had to have surgery. The Vet put her on a Royal Canin Veterinary Diet of Urinary S/O Small Dog dry dog food and she is doing well. She likes the food and as she can no longer have her usual treats, we have given her the Royal Canin Urinary treats as well. She loves them and now I no longer feel as though I am depriving her of a treat. Thank you!

My dog loves this food!

My shih tzu had a bladder stone and I had surgery done to remove it. I then switched her food to the Canine Urinary SO Small Dog dry food. I slowly transitioned her to the new food by combining both the old and new food. Gradually gave her more of the new food, less of the old food. I don't think she even noticed her food was changing. She's doing great on the new food. I also give her a small amount of the Urinary SO canned food. She really loves that too.

Free of stones

Missy, our 9 lb. rescue Japanese Chin, was not doing well and seemed to be having pain about 6 years ago. A urinalysis confirmed that she had crystals in her urine. Our veterinarian told us she was prone to bladder stones and recommended Royal Canin Canine Urinary SO for her. She felt a whole lot better not that long after eating this food and has done well ever since, fortunately never needing surgery which so many dogs do. She is 12 years old and very healthy and lively. She likes the food. Sometimes we treat her with the canned food to give her some variety which she absolutely loves. If your dog has this issue, I highly recommend Royal Canin Canine Urinary SO. So good to have a happy dog.
