HELPS DISSOLVE STONES: Innovative urinary tract dog food helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones

BLADDER HEALTH: Lowers the risk of crystal formation using RSS methodology for dog bladder health

S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to support urinary health

HIGHLY PALATABLE: Soft dog food texture is highly palatable and appeals to dogs with picky appetites

When your dog has urinary issues, easing their discomfort requires special care. But with the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope—there can be a true difference.

This veterinary-exclusive wet dog food was developed to nutritionally support your adult dog’s urinary tract and bladder health. It increases the amount of urine your dog produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. And this specialized nutrition, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps dissolve pure struvite stones and prevent struvite stones from forming. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some dogs. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your dog on this urinary dog food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about the right Royal Canin dry dog food and treats to complement your dog’s diet.

something changed!

I have been feeding this food to my dog for years. This last shipment he won't touch! He started gagging. I feel like the company needs to check this food for quality control. I made him food with very low oxalates, and he gobbled it up. This scares me that there might be something harmful in this product.

Food Changed

My boxer has been on this food for years now, but recently I've noticed her being more and more gassy and the ITCHING. It's out of control. I switched her to rice and chicken to reset her system and symptoms went away. Back onto the food and she's so GASSY and ITCHY. I've talked to representative, they said they just rebranded, did not change the food. Obviously something changed. Very unhappy, especially at that price this food is.

Consistancy dented, unusable cans

Food works well to prevent urinary issues. The problem is the packaging. As expensive as this food is, you would think they could figure out a way to package it so half the cans aren't dented to heck when you get them. A few to half the cans are unuseable.... been putting up with this for years....

No Response from Royan Canin

I am really surprised that so many people have complained about the formula changing and Royal Canin has yet to respond to anyone.

No more bladder stones!

We have gone over three years now without a bladder stone recurrence, using this canned food in combination with the Urinary SO kibble (we use the kibble as treats).

They changed the formula

My dog itched and was passing gas. Why change if it was not broken. Please go back to original formula.

Formula must have changed!

My dog has been on Royal Canin SO for years, I went to my vet to purchase and saw the label had changed from green to gold, they assured me the formula had not changed only the label and they make it more of a fancy pate now? The smell is stronger upon opening and with 24 hrs. of feeding this my dog started scratching, stopping in mid motion to scratch. Now what do I do?

Something has changed

I am not sure what has changed, but my 15 year old Yorkie has been on Royal Canin SO canned for probably 5 or 6 years. Even when I fed him raw, he was never big on drinking a lot of water. But now he is on his 2nd can with the apparent reformulation, he has been needing to drink quite a bit more water. This didn't start until about the 2nd day of starting the new can of food.

Formula changed

My 14 year old dog has been on this formula for several years. The last shipment the formula changed and is horrible! Gave her horrible diarrhea and gas. After feeding her twice, I had to rush out and find something else for her to eat. Why would you alter a prescription food that was working just fine. Also didn't bother to notify of the change prior to shipping.

Something isn't the same

My Westie has been on this food since emergency surgery for stone blockage nearly four years ago.. She loved the wet canned version. We receive our shipments from Chewy. The recipe is no longer the same the chunks are larger and our 20 lb dog is having trouble processing it. For thee time being I have switched her to the small dog urinary DRY kibble but would love to get back to the wet food she enjoyed and thrived on. I also noticed that there is no longer a moderate calorie version? Didn't know whether to blame Chewy or you guys for the change.
