BLADDER HEALTH: Lowers the risk of crystal formation using RSS methodology for dog bladder health

S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to support urinary health

HELPS PREVENT STONE REOCCURANCE: Specialized diet, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps prevent struvite stones from reoccurring

When your dog has urinary issues, easing their discomfort requires special care. But with the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope—there can be a true difference.

This veterinary-exclusive dry dog food was developed to nutritionally support your adult dog’s urinary tract and bladder health. It increases the amount of urine your dog produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. And this specialized nutrition, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps dissolve pure struvite stones and prevent struvite stones from forming. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some dogs. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your dog on this urinary dog food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about the right Royal Canin wet dog food and treats to complement your dog’s diet.

With nearly 50 years of scientific research and observation, Royal Canin continues to deliver targeted nutrition to feed every pet’s magnificence. Not satisfied? Then neither are we. Our veterinary exclusive formulas are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. (Just contact us for more details.)

Saves dog UTI issues!

Our pups have been eating this food for a couple of years now. It helps a lot to dilute the crystals in their urine to prevent UTIs.

Urinary S/O Dry

We started using S/O when other urinary diets failed to work for urinary crystals. It works and we haven’t looked back! We have been a Royal Canin family since that point. The science behind Royal Canin foods is great and the customer service is amazing.

Protects my dog from bladder stones.

A few years ago, my dog had crystals, the precursor to stones in his urine. My vet suggested we start him on the Urinary SO food. Since then his urine samples have been completely clear. This has saved me many $$, not to mention protecting the dog from a surgery to remove stones. If you have a dog whose breed is inclined to have stones, do yourself and your dog a favor and feed them this.

It works

When I got Daisy (at about 8 months old) her urine was red. I went to my vet and she put Daisy on the Urinary SO dry food. Now Daisy is 8 years old and still on the Royal Canin dry food and she’s been fine ever since.

Our lab loves it!

Very happy we switched to this food. Our lab had previous issues with kidney stones and since using this food as her diet, she has not developed any more of them.

Excellent Product - Life Saver for my dog Zephyr

I adopted a 2 year old 40 lb Lab Mix - Zephyr. I found later that he had been shot in the head with a shotgun; he still has 20 pieces of shot in his head - never hit anything vital. I noticed that he seemed to be very uncomfortable while urinating and the vet recommended a blood test and urinalysis. He had both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals in his urine and I was told these could develop into stones which can create a serious and sometimes fatal condition. Zephyr was placed on antibiotics to combat the struvite crystals and since diet is the only way to address the calcium oxalate crystals, the vet recommended Royal Canine Urinary SO. The struvite crystals were cleared up with the antibiotics. I started him on Royal Canine Urinary SO and I was surprised at how much he liked the food. Long story shorter . . . after the first year of using Royal Canine Urinary SO his urinalysis showed no crystals. Now at the second year of his treatment, 4 year old Zephry just had his yearly exam and the urinalysis was clear - no crystals. He is lively - to say the least - and the vet told me to change nothing because his weight, coat, energy and overall health were exactly right. There are two unexpected advantages to his new food. OK - I was a somewhat taken back when I saw the price of the food. But it is actually very affordable because it is so efficient. Zephyr uses less of this food than his original brand - a high quality brand. The Royal Canine Urinary SO is so efficient that he only uses two cups a day. Secondly, the amount of feces was cut in half - also indicating the efficiency of the food. I can't say enough about the success of this special diet. Zephyr loves the food and I can rest assured that I am doing everything possible to keep him happy and healthy.
