A= AROMATIC: Helps stimulate appetite in dogs and encourages eating with rectangular-shaped kibble

HIGHLY PALATABLE: Helps compensate for decreased appetite with a highly palatable energy-dense dry dog food formula to reduce meal volume

PROMOTES KIDNEY FUNCTION: A precise antioxidant complex, fatty acids from fish oil, low phosphorus, and targeted protein levels help promote kidney care

MIX WITH WET FOOD: Works in conjunction with a variety of appetite-stimulating Royal Canin adult dog food varieties

Your vet recommended Royal Canin Renal Support A for a reason. This highly palatable dry dog food is specially formulated to care for the kidney health of dogs under veterinary supervision. “A” stands for Aromatic, and this formula can help stimulate your dog’s appetite. The rectangular-shaped dry kibble can be mixed with other Royal Canin Renal Support formulas, which have a variety of palatable aromas and textures to help find the right combination to get your dog eating again. The energy-dense diet provides nutritional support in smaller portions, since dogs with reduced kidney function have decreased appetites. Plus, it contains a precise antioxidant complex, fatty acids from fish oil, low phosphorus, and targeted protein levels to help support kidney function.

Great tasting!

My vet prescribed this for our dog who has kidney issues and this is the only brand we tried out of about three that she will eat! I am so happy we finally found a dog food my dog will eat.

Great quality that my dog loves

We had to feed this to our dog due to a small infection. We thought it would be a temporary product but after the great results we decided to continue using it.

Great Product

Our two retired guide dogs, who are almost 14 years old, have been helped greatly by this diet. With renal disease, sometimes our dogs don't feel like eating. This has enough flavor and texture to appeal to them most of the time; they have been able to obtain their weight on the Royal Canin renal support products because they seem to really like them!l

New to the kidney disease

Angus was just diagnosed with early kidney disfunction. Our vet suggested a renal diet, they wanted us to go with Science Diet but due to previous problems with that, I decided to try Royal Canin. When we received our first bag, Angus was licking the bag before I had time to open it. This is a great sign considering how picky he is with his food. I really wished it came in a bigger bag. 17.5 pounds is nothing for a 150 pound Rott!

My dog used to like it more

My 10 year old sheltie has had kidney disease for 3 years now. I have rotated through the various brands of the prescription diets. My dog has always been a picky eater, so she gets tired of them fairly quickly. She used to eat the Royal Canin Renal diet better before they started adding the letters to the title, so I am not sure if the formulation changed at that time or not. I can only find this product at one store in my town and they only carry the 17.5 lb bags. I have wasted a lot of food buying both dry and cans when my dog won't eat it. Now, I have to try and mix it with a non-prescription diet so that she will eat. It's not the best solution, but it's better than her not eating at all.

Easy to read

I started using this product per my vets suggestion.I rescued a male Dalmation from Ca in 2008. Several months later he was on death's doorstep and it was determined that he had a form of kidney failure. He was rail thin and could hardly walk and we had to make a decision to either euthanize or try and save. We put him on the renal support and 8 years later he is a happy, healthy dog who now weighs about 70 lbs. Even though the food costs me just over $60 a month I am so grateful that he is still with me. To see him play and run you would never know he was in such bad shape when I rescued him. My thoughts are that when you take on an animal you take on any and all financial obligations. D'Ryder is about the number 12 Dalmation that I have rescued, including deaf and health issue animals and I never regret giving them a loving home, even though in some cases they only live for a few months due to their health concerns. Thanks for making this product available.
