WEIGHT MAINTENANCE: L-carnitine helps maintain a healthy weight, while helping to meet the high energy needs of small dog breeds

SKIN AND COAT HEALTH: Optimal levels of fatty acids like EPA and DHA support skin and a healthy dog coat

SPECIALIZED KIBBLE: Small breed adult dog food has an exclusive kibble design adapted for miniature jaws

GREAT FOR PICKY EATERS: Enhanced palatable dog food satisfies the fussy appetites of small dogs

Your small dog has some big nutritional needs. That’s because small breed dogs actually have higher energy requirements than big dogs. Not only that, these mini pooches have unique traits—and are pretty picky when it comes to what’s put in their bowl.

Royal Canin Small Adult dry dog food is formulated to meet the unique nutritional needs of small breed adult dogs, as they actually require higher levels of calories per pound of body weight than large dogs. L-carnitine helps metabolize fat to help your dog maintain a healthy weight. Ideal levels of EPA and DHA support healthy skin and a beautiful, shiny coat. Plus, enhanced palatability helps satisfy even the pickiest eaters. Add a variety in texture with Royal Canin Adult Beauty wet dog food. And when your dog reaches their later years, there’s Royal Canin Small Adult 8+ and Small Aging 12+ to help keep them happy and healthy as they age.

Rileys favorite food

My 2 yr. old King Charles Cavalier is a Royal Canin customer. We started her on the puppy food until she reached 10 mo. We then transitioned her to the small dog adult dog recipe. She devours it within minutes.

Great Food for Picky Eaters

Our Fido is a picky eater and this is the only dog food that I’ve found that he will eat without having to add toppers. He really likes it. I would give it 5 stars but, unfortunately, the resealing mechanism failed about halfway through the bag.

Great food

I have been feeding Darcy Royal Canin since she was a puppy and am now converting her to small adult. She is very healthy and growth appropriate. She is a shitzu/bishon mix - shishon!

Good Food but not for my puppy.

When my puppy turned 10 months old I started slowly incorporating the small breed adult with her small breed puppy. I noticed that the first time I used the small breed adult she had some soft stools. Didn't think much of it at the time. So I kept mixing the small breed adult and puppy and she continued to have soft stools and some mild diarrhea. Finally I stopped giving her the small breed adult and switched to the breed specific adult and her soft stools are now normal stools. Not sure if this food made her have diarrhea but it did stop once I stopped the small breed adult. She is fine with the breed specific food from Royal Canin.

Ingredients

Disappointed that corn is one of the main ingredients. I have used this brand for many years, but I stopped because of the corn
