We have 2 senior rescue chihuahuas. They don't have many teeth left and had trouble eating dry dog food. I felt like they needed dry food as well as wet food for the fiber and nutrition. I tried several brands with no interest. My vet recommended Royal Canin adult chihuahua food. They like it! It smells yummy and is the correct size nugget for them to eat. Their eyes became brighter and their coats began to shine. So happy to feel good about what I feed my babies.

I purchased the 8+ brand for my oldest, 13 yrs. old, because he has BAD teeth and has trouble eating. I wet down the kibble and they both have really taken to it that way. My other one has just turned 8 so I am very happy that this is their day to day kibble.

My Chihuahua loves this food. He would just pick at other food and when I tried him on other food and mixed it with the Royal Canin food he would pick the new food out and just eat the Royal Canin. The only problem we have is finding it. The local PetSmart doesn't carry it so have to go to one farther away that does carry it. PetSmart doesn't even show it online for some reason.

Love the product but with 3 chihuahuas the 2.5 pound bag is too small. Need to come out with a larger bag.

Don't tell my rescue mix that this is only for purebred Chihuahuas. This is the first kibble he's ever liked....it softens up with a bit of water (or homemade chicken soup). He used to pick the chicken out of his bowl when I mixed it with kibble; now everything in the bowl get gobbled down. Too bad most stores don't stock Chi Adult 8.
