My dog loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog needed to be put on a perscription diet and I was a bit worried. He’s a finicky dog and would ONLY eat Science Hills. So when the veterinarian gave me the perscription I immideatly thought my dog was going to be unhappy. To my surprise he LOVED it! I was so pleased. He seems to enjoy this food much mor than his other food. It was a relief to know that he was eating a quality product while maintianing his health. He’s been eatjng Royal Canin for about 8 years now and going strong. He’s 14 years old but still acts like a puppy. Thanks Royal Canin for keeping me and my doggo happy!

Easy to order and great nutritional optioni

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to help address my dog’s liver issues. She loves it and is back to feeling like a puppy again! She gets some dry food mixed with some wet. So, the best of both worlds!

Fantastic

My Papillion was diagnosed with microvascular displasia when he was about 6 months old. We switched him over to Royal Canin hepatic food. At this point he hadn't gained weight in two months and resembled a skeleton. Once he got in the hepatic diet not only did he love his food he started to grow and gain weight again like a normal puppy and his coat got way healthier. In combination with his medicine, zentonil, this food had saved my puppy's life.

Good for my Pomeranian

I have an elderly (13 yrs) Pomeranian that prefers this food over the other big brand liver diet. So much so that I was able to get her to switch from wet food to dry food. She eats a combination of the hepatic and appetite stimulation food from the pet store and she is doing very well. I was worried that the kibbles would be too big for her mouth (she's 7lbs) , but she doesn't have any trouble. Has recurring liver issues (cholangiohepatitis) so I will continue to supplement her diet with this food to hopefully prevent future hospitalization.

Dog does not like

Unfortunately my doberman was diagnosed with copper hepatopathy and had to go on a low copper food. She has never liked the taste of the drug food or canned food. I have to buy the I/D canned cat food and add some to the dry dog food to get her to eat it. Is there no way to make this food more flavorful?

Thank you for reaching out with your feedback. We would not recommend feeding cat food to your canine and would advise to speak to your veterinarian.

My babies love it!!

My two 15 yr old dogs have been eating the Hepatic Diet for 10 years due to high liver enzymes in my ChiWeenie. My other baby is a Pom & if one gets something, so does the other. It soaks up water easy when they need soft food if they need a tooth extraction

save our dog's life

Our 17.8 year old standard poodle has been eating Hepatic for over a year. Before, he refused to eat, but now he loves eating Hepatic several times a day.
